Review for AdoptAClassroom.org, Minneapolis, MN, USA
I have donated $213.20. $100 on 9/21/2009 and $113.20 on 12/30/2009. After waiting a few months from the September donation, I sent Adopt-A-Classroom an e-mail asking why my donation had not been used. they said the teacher never used the money, and gave me the option to pick a different school to move the donation to. I did that, and added the second $100 so now 1 school has received $200 from me, and I also did the remaining donation to the actual Adopt-A-Classroom overhead fees. After that, I waited until the following september (2010) and when I went in, I saw that not only was nothing bought by the classroom, it only showed that I've donated $100 total, and still nothing has been bought. I've contacted Adopt-A-Classroom numerous times. Many times I received a response that they would look into it, and get back to me, and other times I have received absolutely no response. I have copies of all e-mail correspondance. I have spent over $200 and so far have seen none of it used. I understand that some of this is not the charity's fault, as I've been donating to schools in the bush of Alaska, so the teachers may not have a way to use it right away, but it's been almost 2 years, and the charity has done nothing to correct this.
