My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for New Urban Arts, Providence, RI, USA
NUA is one of the most incredible communities I've ever been a part of. The studio gives everyone who walks through the doors permission to be themselves, to grow, to experiment, to be honest, and to share. There is some sort of indescribable magic that happens at NUA. Every single time I came to the studio I left feeling more hopeful and happier than when I arrived. This place is a positive influence on everyone who is a part of it in any way. I really wish that more people could experience it.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
my daily life, whether I'm in the studio or not. I've seen the results of NUA in the lives of students, mentors, staff, and volunteers involved.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the opportunity to be in an environment where everyone is learning from everyone else. Sometimes mentors are students and students are mentors. Traditional barriers between the "student" and the "teacher" are gone, allowing more learning to take place.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
the kindest, most down-to-earth, enthusiastic, and caring people that I've ever met in one place.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
host more students, more mentors, and more volunteers.
Ways to make it better...
I had had more time to spend in the studio.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Funding.
One thing I'd also say is that...
I feel that NUA will always be a home for me.
