My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, Tallahassee, FL, USA
I fist became involved with Volunteer USA in 2004, when I started working for Healthy Start. We delivered “I am a reader” envelopes to families. The kits included: a Clifford book, card from the Governor, library card application, and a skill building book from birth to age 5. The families enjoyed the information in the envelopes. This year, we began distributing “Love.Read.Learn!” book and the families are thrilled. Volunteer USA is really in tune with what the families want. I was included in a focus group they conducted called “Inspire Your Baby”. They gathered feedback on the Love.Read.Learn! book and how they can continue to distribute it. I thought it was great that they included us.
