Review for Friends of Homeless Animals Inc, Marathon, FL, USA
When our beloved boston terrier passed away we wanted to do something good in her memory and decided to adopt a rescue boston. We saw a picture of a mid age adult that had been in foster care for quite a while. We were attracted to her so we read her bio and wondered why no one had adopted her. Knowing that we definately wanted to adopt a dog and if this one turned out not to be suitable to our needs and home situation FOHA would work with us to find another we took the chance and sent in our application and deposit. It was definately the best thing we did. I found the organization to be well run, genuinely caring in their mission and extremely honest. They disclosed everything they knew and observed with regard to the dog's health, habits and temperment. There is no profit motive here like in a pet store. These people just want to place the right dog in the right home. They are all volunteers and give so much of themselves. All of the adoption fees and donations go right back into the organization for veterinary and other animal expenses. To make a long story short we got the perfect dog for us and couldn't be happier.
