My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Aim High, San Francisco, CA, USA
Absolutely fantastic. As a teacher, there's nothing I look forward to so much as summer with AimHigh. Teaching academics in the morning and leading activities in the afternoon gives me a chance to understand my students on a much more profound level and, consequently, to make so much more of a difference in their lives. Administrators, staff, students, and parents all understand what a special culture AimHigh has and they all work together to make it happen. Superb.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
my role as a teacher and as a mentor to less-experienced student teachers
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Expand it.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the freedom and support they give teachers.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Young people, passionate about education, often graduates of theprogram
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
have such a profound affect on so many young lives.
Ways to make it better...
expectations for student teachers had been more throughly hashed out. (but this applies to a specific individual)
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
keeping the program culture intact as it expands.
One thing I'd also say is that...
it broke my heart when they had to colse their campus at San Francisco State because of budgetry issues. It was such a special campus.
