Review for Lemay Housing Partnership Inc, St Louis, MO, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have had the privilege of working with Lemay Housing Partnership for almost 3 years now and I continue to be amazed at the level of dedication that each and every staff member, board member, volunteer, and community leader has for the organization and the Lemay community. LHP realizes that the "Housing" in Lemay Housing goes beyond fresh paint, a new furnace, or energy efficiency, and really encompasses the entire "home" which includes the residents; healthy housing includes healthy inhabitants. LHP works to ensure that clients needs are met to allow them to sustain their home and live an overall healthier lifestyle.

As the organization continues to look toward the future they are committed to expanding their programs to try and strengthen the Lemay infrastructure in many ways, including partnerships with other Lemay organizations that focus on economic development. This organization never stops caring and never stops thinking about ways to improve the Lemay community... a place they will always call home.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have had the opportunity to talk with residents that have been assisted by LHP and amazed at just how much the repairs and improvements have changed their life. It puts a smile on their face and reinforces what an important part of the community they are.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

look for additional funding streams that would allow them to consider venturing into new rental properties for the area to increase the possibility of new residents, as well as opening their own office building.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

Role:  Board Member & I had the opportunity to participate in a day of service with my teammates at the bank I work for. The experience of volunteering for a LHP client to paint their house was truly unique and energizing for the entire team.
