Kiva is an extremely effective charity program. So far I've actually donated $400, but it has made an impact of over $700. The program helps build up communities in the impoverished communities, it fosters self-reliance and independence. I truly believe this charity can make a difference. You can see the results in the unbelievably high return rates for the loans; also, actual donations to the administration are completely optional. I would recommend donating to this charity.
