Review for First Glance Student Center, Inc., Akron, OH, USA
I have firsthand experience with this wonderful organization and the impact it’s had on the community it faithfully serves. They focus on establishing loving, non-judgemental relationships that meet people right where they are, and doing so in a way that honors God. They genuinely love and care for, in practical ways, the students that cross their path. This approach has moved me to support them financially, prayerfully and practically in the past through a grant project I collaborated on. In my own time of need they opened their doors to host a funeral for a family member who passed away unexpectedly. This is an exceptional organization with dedicated servant leaders and volunteers that Is making a difference in the lives of the students they serve.
Review for First Glance Student Center, Inc., Akron, OH, USA
Having assisted with a couple of grant writing projects in the past, I was impressed with the dedication of the leadership at First Glance and with the stewardship of the resources and opportunities available to them. I believe fully that First Glance is an exceptional organization who cares deeply about the youth they serve and the quality of services they offer. This authenticity is recognized by the students whose attendance and participation have only continued to increase in response. The very fact that First Glance has continued to grow and extend their reach within the community of Kenmore, Ohio is a testament to both the faith and hard work of their leaders and volunteers, and their belief in the potential of the youth they have committed to mentoring.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Dedicated. Rarely have I seen a non-profit with as many committed volunteers as First Glance. People see what First Glance is doing and want to be a part of it.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Complete their expansion program to provide adequate space for the programs they offer the students they serve. . . and extend their reach even further. Every bit of funding they receive is put to it's best use.
