I am both a client served and a volunteer. I joined foha because I wanted to find a playmate for my own dog, Molly. We started fostering to find her friend and to help other dogs in the process. It seemed like a win-win for all. We ended up adopting a 6year old Boston Terrier, Quince. They love each other. It was a wonderful experience for us. In turn, we have adopted out another loving Boston form someone who had to give him up to another couple who had just lost one of theirs. I am currently fostering Penny, an 11yo Boston and Benji a 1yo Chi-Hound. This is a wonderful group that I am lucky enough to respresent. Everyone is helpful, knowledgable, and willing to give their all for each and every one of these dogs. It is very rare that a dog will ever be turned away. Most are saved at death's door and then welcomed into the arms of love at their forever homes. There is truly no better feeling.
