Review for First Glance Student Center, Inc., Akron, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

First Glance is a grassroots organization that is really committed to the students, families, and community of Kenmore. I have seen changed lives through the dedication of the leaders and staff to Christ, to one another, and to the community. I have been a leader for several years, and it has changed who I am and how I live my life. It has greatly enriched my life. As much as I attempt to give, I receive so much more than I could ever hope to bestow. I have now moved into the community as a result. First Glance's various programs seek to provide assistance to the community by empowering the community itself; ultimately connecting them to the community of Christ.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my life and the lives of the students that First Glance serves. I have grown in my faith through service, and seen many students become good decision-makers and ultimately leaders of the community.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

getting to know the students and the community and really feeling like a part of something powerful and positive. Also, the strengthening of faith that happens when trying to live out the gospel.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

positive and Godly, without being self-righteous.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

start sister organizations like it in other inner-city areas throughout the area and the state, so that more students could have a safe place to be who they are and experience the unconditional love of Christ.
