My Nonprofit Reviews
Lori P
Review for Friends of Homeless Animals Inc, Marathon, FL, USA
I have been a volunteer with FOHA for a little over 3 years now. I have fostered various dogs and adopted two, all of which would have been euthanized otherwise. FOHA is a wonderful rescue, founded by our fearless leader Roie, who is an incredible woman that works 24/7 for her dogs. The circle of volunteers she has built over the years, always put the animals first and work together as a whole for the good of these dogs!! When I look at the many lives we have saved and are in loving homes, since I've been volunteering, it is a wonderful feeling of accomplishment!! We are always looking for new foster homes and volunteers to continue building this rescue to the incredible size it has reached. Join, become a volunteer, foster a dog in need, it is one of lifes most rewarding experiences. I can guarantee I have learned so many things from caring for these dogs. One of lifes many priceless pleasures has been fostering and volunteering time for this rescue!!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Fostering and volunteering.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
The only thing I would do different is find a volunteer that concentrated on advertising and recruiting new foster homes only. We always seem to have a shortage of homes and it causes some pain and anguish knowing the dogs we cannot pull and put into foster homes will be euthanized.
