Review for Korean American Family Service Center, Flushing, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I was very lucky this summer to have found out about Y.C.P.T. At first, I was not interested in the group, because I am a shy person, and I'm not very outgoing or good at making friends. By the time I had to get ready for the third meeting, I was so excited to meet my new friends, while participating in a project that helped my community. This group has given me confidence, changed my personality so that I am outgoing and happier, and stored in me strong sense of leadership. This program is extremely beneficial to everyone.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Flushing, New York, after our successful fundraising event to raise money for a senior center that needed much funding.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

not do anything, because it is so perfect now.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

that I helped my community, while having so much fun meeting people and being able to help so many people.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

extremely hardworking, confidential, helpful, thoughtful, and respectful.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

donate it to homless shelters, help more people all around the world, and spread love and warmth everywhere.

Ways to make it better...

we had had more members in our group.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the transportation fees.

One thing I'd also say is that...

this group is amazing, and it has changed my life for the better.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009

Role:  Volunteer & I helped raise money for a senior center that needed funding, I served cancer patients, pulled weeds at a park, did arts and crafts with seniors, did arts and crafts with young children at a daycare center, and I sorted donated toys and clothes for the fa.
