My Nonprofit Reviews

Laurel W.
Review for Operation Write Home, Federal Way, WA, USA
I have been involved for six months. OWH is highly organized, and the president is a master of social media! My cardmaking skills have improved as a result of OWH tutorials and other online posts. It is fun to be connected with other people who share my hobby. I love the ripple effect: I get pleasure from making the card, the shipper enjoys sending my card on to the troops, the serviceperson has the fun of picking out the right card for their use and knowing that people at home still care, and the recipient gets the joy of receiving a hand-crafted card from their loved one! My investment of time and money brings joy to several people. I participate because it is both fun and worthwhile. I may give money to other charities, but this one taps into my values and interests in a very personal way.
