Review for Hillside House, Santa Barbara, CA, USA

As a board member of Hillside House for the last 5 years I have witnessed first hand the consistent care, love and support that Hillside House provides to their residents. I have been impressed with the extensive experience and expertise of the staff of this organization, their careful stewardship of the organization and their strong vision for the future. I personally participate in the Hillside House program because I believe that the master plan that they are working on for integrated housing for the residents, neighbors and people in need of affordable housing is groundbreaking and will lead the nation in how to support the lives of the developmentally disabled in the 21st century.

I have had the privilege of spending time with the residents, their families and their staff and I see how Hillside House has been a life saver for them.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

My hope for the organization is that the master plan will be actualized.

Role:  Board Member & I have been professional colleagues with the executive staff for 13-20 years; I have provided support to the management team as a leadership consultant and I serve on the Board as the Chair of the Development committee.
