Review for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, Norfolk, VA, USA
PETA is one of the most important animal rights groups I know and Ingrid Newkirk is my hero. Through their advocacy work they have applied pressure to change many laws as well as getting private organizations (e.g., clothing vendors, circuses, etc.) to stop exploiting animals.
Review for Indraloka Animal Sanctuary, Mehoopany, PA, USA
I have been volunteering for over a year. I started there because I am a strong animal advocate and wanted to help animals in need. I can truly say that I have received more than I have given. The atmosphere at the sanctuary is filled with love and peace. I am constantly amazed at how the animals coexist in such harmony. The sanctuary is a model of how the world should be.
