I have been a reading teacher since 1995 and have had many tutoring experiences with children from grades K through 6. The most challenging cases involved children with learning disabilities, in particular this one child, Joe, whom I could not accelerate as fast as I would have liked. I began going to workshops and seminars at the Everyone Reading organization, attending many sessions related to multi-sensory techniques. I discovered the Wilson reading program and began using it with little Joe. It was miraculous! He became a fluent reader after a year of hard work. It has changed my life and the ones of the children I tutor. I will continue to attend all relevant workshops in my field.
