Although I see some nice things being done by Child Fund (which has a new "strategy" changing its name removing Christian from its title), it troubles me that I am sponsoring a family instead of one of the many many orphans first. I have been supporting my "child "and his entire family for close to 10 years now and since then they have had two more children totally 4. I fear that my compassion may be doing some harm to them as it seems ChildFund has created a welfare system rather then a charity. Ultimately with Child fund's cooperation with foreign governments, it leaves them dependent on Child fund / Government. I have to question the motive here now. I would support a struggling family with my own heart anytime knowing that my own heart's motive is only to love my neighbor as myself. I am not trusting in man and the agendas of government and sadly I do not trust this new "strategy" by Anne Goddard.
