The Green Beret Foundation was there for our family during an exceptionally challenging time. Our 2 year old daughter had just been diagnosed with leukemia and the hospital she where she was being treated was 90 minutes from our home. We were living out of a hotel and the hospital, eating whatever food was convienant, and stressed beyond belief. GBF stepped in with assistance that was crucial for us to be able to continue to be close to her while she was inpatient. Their help came as a sigh of relief for us, and they covered the gaps that weren't already addressed by our insurance and my husband's very generous unit. Their mission is very powerful. To be in such a challenging situation and have an organization like GBF step in and say 'How can we help?'. That is a true definition of a Green Beret and a charitable organization.
