Review for Howard County Cat Club, Columbia, MD, USA
I have volunteered with the Howard County Cat Club since 2005. It is not a social club, as the name implies. It is a group of seriously committed individuals who foster cats that are facing imminent harm or death. We focus on adult cats, which are sometimes harder to place in forever homes, and they stay with us as long as it takes to adopt them to the right home. The cats spayed or neutered, health issues are address, and then are fostered in home-like shelters and homes. They are socialized by the many volunteers who feed and play with them and keep their environment clean and safe so that they are ready to be adopted into a loving home. We are always looking for volunteers to take care of the cats (it doesn't have to be in your home) as well as assist with fundraisers. We are in particular need of people with marketing skills who can assist in raising our profile.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Over the years that I have volunteered, I have seen many cats come into our shelters. Some are frightened or sick and some just need a reprieve from a kill shelter. They stay with us as long as it is necessary to find the right forever home. We have adopted out hundreds of cats to loving homes.
