Review for Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, Tallahassee, FL, USA
Volunteer USA Foundation has helped with an education revolution in this small rural poor Central Florida town. By providing funds and technical assistance, we have been able to educate some 300 families in adult and childhood education and help improving reading comprehension and parenting skills. VUSA knows that parents are the first teachers and that school readiness means greater parenting skills and involvement. They know how to work with communities, to promote enthusiasm and cooperation, to make educational dreams for entire families come true.
