Review for Animal Compassion Team of California, Squaw Valley, CA, USA
I have opened my home and become a foster home for ACT. This rescue team is amazing. Every need of the animal is met in a very timely manner. The compassion and support of the Board of Directors and other volunteers really keep you up beat and positive in some very difficult times. I have volunteered with many "rescue groups" and they have been great, but there is a difference with ACT. They never give up in their battle to make our Valley a safe place for the many homeless animals. The sacrafice many of the Board members make in their very own personal lives is beyond words. I have never met a group that takes every challenge head on like ACT does. Fostering for this group has given me so many joyous moments. Watching a dog find a new life after being beaten, starved, sick, and scared is life changing. I am happy that ACT has allowed me the pleasure of helping them with their mission.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
The amount of animals being saved from our local CCSPCA by this group is amazing. The trap/neuter and release program for ferrel cats is helping to stop the over population. Sick and injuted animals that were going to be killed at the CCSPCA have found wonderful, loving homes. Act also educates the public in the importance of spay and neuter and will offer to help the community with finding the best place to have their animals altered. Act also offers help in pet retention.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Try to help more. ACT needs property tto be able to build a shelter so they can help more of the animals on death row at our Valley kill shelters.
