Review for Adam's Camp, Centennial, CO, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Our family has participated in the Adam's Camp program for 10 years. The experience this camp offers far exceeds a parents dream for their child with special needs. Adam's Camp staff have successfully provided well-trained and experienced therapist for the camps. A parent may suspect their special child may never climb a rock wall, or enjoy rafting the river, find strength and courage in tackling the zip- line, but the therapist Adam's camp provides, all of these things are not only possible, but doable. The camp not only takes care and opens doors for our special children, the camp provides sibling camp as well. This provides the siblings of our special children to see, hear and experience their reality with someone who shares in the reality with them. Adam's Camp takes care of the family as a whole, providing a beautiful, safe place to meeta nd share with other families who have similar circustances. Through this effort, lifetime friendships are made not only for the campers, but for the entire family. Through the years, Adam's Camp has strived to keep the best therapist and staff possible. In doing so, the organization diligently handles everything form scholarships for families who need assisstance with camp cost, sometimes sending a family at no cost to the family, to handling office duties with tight budgets. This reflects in the eventual overall quality of the camp.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

passionate concerning the special children and their families. The staff and therapist really believe in what they do in helping the children feel accepted and successful. These individuals create an incredible positive atmosphere.
