The Humane Society for the United States is NOT what you think it is. Please, take the time to read this article and others to fully inform yourself on the actions that this organization actually takes. Though I am a strong advocate for LOCAL humane societies, which do a great deal of good, this HSUS is a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Dealing with the reptile industry specifically, but also in my time working for local humane society shelters.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Bring it back to it's ORIGINAL purpose, which is to help animals - not the legislative beast that it has become today. The funding it receives should help animals. The money donated to it does NOT help animals in the ways that they lead the public to believe.

Role:  Professional with expertise in this field & I donate my time and money to local humane societies, as well as copious amounts of time researching the HSUS and campaigning against such organizations and other related legislative acts.
