Review for Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, Tallahassee, FL, USA
I cannot say enough fabulous things about Volunteer USA. When I began employment with Healthy Start, they provided "I Am A Reader" packets which included a Clifford book, skill building booklet, library car application, and a welcome your baby card. This was given to us complety free of charge. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to share the information with the prenatal moms and moms with babies and encourage reading to the baby (even while in utero). This past year, we received a "Love.Read.Learn!" photo/baby book, again free of charge. The expression of gratitude seen on the faces of these moms is priceless. I was recently involved in a phone conference with them to provide feedback on the responses of the Love.Read.Learn! I thought it was so considerate of them to include others in the feedback process. They were very willing and ready to listen to any ideas we had.
