This special rescue/sanctuary for large wild animals is critical to the international humane treatment of wild animals, not just the United States and Colorado. Recently mistreated and starved, caged and abused lions were rescued from a cheap, South American "circus" and flown all the way to the Wild Life Sanctuary to be nursed back to health and sanity and live the remainder of their lives in relative peace. The examples of the critical role and leadership this organization provides are numerous and heartwarming to any animal lover.
