Review for Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles Rescue, Los Angeles, CA, USA
This charity states in the background statement " Since 2003, we have taken in 3,775 Golden Retrievers (as of May 2011) and are ranked among the three largest Golden Retriever rescues in the U.S. according to the National Rescue Committee of the Golden Retriever Club of America based on the number of dog intakes, expenses, volunteers and geographic territory covered." This is in fact, a blatant lie. If you go to the National Rescue Committee of the GRC, you will see that in the year 2010 they were tied for 7th place ranking. They have not been in the top three for several years. If they lie about something so simple, then what else are they concealing. This type of dishonesty hurts all rescues. I think that GuideStar should investigate and remove them for deceptive practices.
