My husband serves as a member on the board of this wonderful, dedicated organization. Personally though, we have been blessed to welcome new four legged family members into our home over the years. We have 5 boys who help us love and care for our animals. We currently have Jade, a 2 year old boxer mix who has become the little mother in our house. She will "discipline" the kids verbally if they attempt to run around the pool and will always find a child to curl up with. The next addition was Poochie. Poochie is an older terrier mix. Poochie came to us after having a toe removed to cancer. He had been in the humane society unadopted for some time and we knew he needed a lot of love. The last dog added to our family is King Odie, named by my 5 year old. He is the energy of the group and keeps everyone on their toes. Our three dogs all curl together at night when they sleep. To round things out, we sat the boys down in the cat room, and "Fruit Loop" decided we were the family for him. He is the boss of all things living in our house. Because of the Humane Society, our lives have been touched. We are blessed to have these wonderful animals in our home. I am so thankful for this wonderful cause.
