Review for Cat Network, Inc., Miami, FL, USA
I have volunteered in the past for the Cat Network and I am in awe of their work. Miami has a huge stray cat problem and a very high-kill shelter,so their work spaying and neutering cats, though wildly successful, is still only a drop in a big bucket but a very necessary one if we are ever to achieve cuts in the population of stray cats in this area. They are tireless, operating on as many as 100 cats per event!
They also operated on my cat,who had had two previous unsuccessful surgeries in Honduras to neuter him but was a double crypt-orchid (where both testicles are undescended, a very rare case) and not only did they manage to neuter him successfully (finally!),but the incision was tiny and they gave him a 24-hour pain shot, very unlike what he had had to go through previously. So, they take care of the problem of overpopulation and they do it in the most pain-free and humane way for these poor homeless animals. They need all the help they can get and I look forward to volunteering with them again very soon.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
The way they treated my cat was wonderful. After the neutering operation,he recovered quickly and no longer marks my whole house filling it with the stench of urine.Thank you to the excellent Dr. Marc Kramer, one of the best veterinary surgeons EVER!
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
There is one person that works here who is not nice at all.She treats volunteers very rudely. This puts a damper on volunteering there.I would open it up to be able to spay/neuter not only Miami Beach stray cats but cats from anywhere at every event. I had a Miami momma cat that urgently needed spaying .they put up all sorts of problems for me to have her done at the Miami beach event. And I offered to pay for it too in spite of being a volunteer! But all in all,a great organization!
