Review for The Humane Society of the United States, Washington, DC, USA
I have attended several HSUS conferences and found them very informative and compassionate. I have supported their efforts to make and change laws to give animals a voice and stop cruelty. I work with a non profit dog and cat rescue that has worked closely with the HSUS by taking in several adoptable dogs from large scale rescues both from puppy mills and natural disasters. I believe HSUS is on the right track in trying to change and strengthen animal protection legislation.

Seeing bills signed into law to help stop animal fighting and punish those who engage in it. I have also seen legislation backed by HSUS signed into law to stop the inhumane cruelty of the meat industry. I have seen puppy mills shut down, legislation enacted and dogs saved.
