Review for SHIELDS for Families, Los Angeles, CA, USA
Shields for Families consistently works with families who are the most vulnerable in South LA (i.e people in recovery, foster care families, formerly incarcerated). They work to move the families from a state of crisis to a thriving state. They have also consistently worked with African American and Latino families, which comprise the majority of residents in South LA.

There isn't anything that I would change; however, I'd love to see Shields train other local leaders on how to improve their customer service, their leadership capacity and the quality of their services.
Role: Professional with expertise in this field & I worked with Shields to address the devastating impact that the state budget cuts will have on the working class and poor families in South LA.
