This selfless Center and Patti Ragan, are remarkable. The staff are so compassionate, caring and giving to these wonderful animals who, until arriving at the Center, were living in some very unbearable situations. I live in Rochester, New York, and discovered this place on a visit to Florida last December. I immediately made reservations to come there last February to volunteer for a week with the animals. I witnessed the most awesome people and apes. The environment, habitats, daily enrichment program, the food (my God, the healthy food), and generosity in money and time of the other volunteers. It was a total spiritual experience for me and am going to return this October to do my very little part in caring for some of God's greatest creatures.
