Review for Karma Rescue Inc, Santa Monica, CA, USA
I fostered a dog from Karma Rescue about 8 years ago. I ended up adopting that dog (Chloe) and she's still with me. I've kept in touch with Rande over the years and have always been impressed with how tirelessly she works to better the lives of animals. I've come to her many times for help and she never hesitates to jump in and rally up the troops. I honestly don't know how she does it - but she does it with grace, humor and diligence.
She is tireless in her crusade to clear pitbulls' bad rap and to rescue them from certain death (or lives of misery) and find them loving homes.
It's not just Rande, of course, she has a whole network of people helping her and this rescue is very organized. I highly recommend them.

Besides adopting a dog from them, I have come to them for help when I've rescued dogs and needed to find them homes. One time I took in a dog who was going to be put to sleep and he got out of my yard. Rande was at my house that evening with a group of volunteers, coming the neighborhood to find that dog.

I wouldn't make any changes to this organization. If I could change anything, I would want to change the hearts of the many people who abuse, neglect and desert animals.
Review for A Wish For Animals, Pacific Plsds, CA, USA
I adopted a dog from this wonderful rescue. My dog, Bunny, had a mild limp when she was a puppy, which Toni thought may need surgery. Although I was ready and willing to adopt her anyway, Toni suggested I foster her until we found out what was wrong with her - and said that if Bunny needed surgery, they would pay for it before I adopted her. It turned out her joints were still growing and there was nothing wrong with her leg at all - she just grew out of it. But I really appreciated that A Wish For Animals completely "guarantees" (for lack of a better word) the animals they adopt out.
I've kept in touch with Toni over the years and given her progress reports and she always remembers us.

From what I've seen, this organization is very..., organized. They are great at utilizing their connections and resources to build their organization so they can help more animals.
