I have been been a participant at Family Scholar House since June 2008.
I am a student in the University of Louisville's College of Education and I have a cumulative grade point average of 3.552. Throughout the past academic year, I have been an active participant and advocate for the Family Scholar House Program; including accompanying the President/CEO to a national conference, where I presented my story.
The support that I have received through services offered through the Family Scholar House program have completely transformed my life. I now will have the ability to provide better opportunities for my children and myself. I am on track to complete my B.S. in Special Education with a concentration in learning and behavioral disabilities in May 2012.

I am on track to complete my B.S. in special education in May of 2012 with the support of the Family Scholar House. Through the Family Scholar House, I have received academic services and support, tutoring for my oldest son, who is special needs, received tuition assistance for the Early Learning Campus where my children attend school, housing assistance, and moral support. As well, I have been given generous donations for holidays. The Family Scholar House has become a family to my children and me.

This organization is absolutely fantastic. I honestly can't think of any changes that are needed with this organization. I hope that I can continue to advocate for the Family Scholar House and educate the public on the importance of this organization and the positive changes it has/is creating for future generations.
