Review for Intrepid Museum Foundation, Inc., New York, NY, USA
I have been a contributor and frequent visitor to the Intrepid Museum Foundation for more than 20 years and I can think of no other organization that does as much good with the contributions they receive. They enhance the education of students in the entire tri-state area with former crew members, interactive displays throughout the museum complex, and friendly, knowledgeable volunteers . Films and speakers, overnight trips for schools and scout groups in the newly refurbished lower deck. Space exploration, aircraft from every era of aviation history. Special displays highlighting the US Navy's early work in integrating our armed forces. It is a wonderful organization, and I am proud to support it.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in observing some of the school groups as they learned some of our history, and encouraged my local schools to visit Intrepid. Each group has thanked me for the great experience the students had, and the history they learned while on board.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would change nothing. The people who manage the museum, and the people who work and volunteer there do so with a joy that comes through to the visitors. From young volunteers to former crew members each is happy to share his or her knowledge with the museum visitor.
