Review for Food For The Poor, Coconut Creek, FL, USA
I have been a donor to Food for the Poor for several years. As the economy has changed, I have chosen to look more closely at the charities I have provided financial assistants. I will no longer give to Feed the Poor when the CEO is paid 403K. He is far from poor and I will not be any part of paying his salary. I will continue to feed the poor through local food banks and Food for the Hungry which has a better Charity Navigator rating.

I am disgusted that an organization which is to provide the most and best it can to the poor and suffering would stoop so low as to continue paying a CEO such a high salary. Does Robin love his job or the paycheck?
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Hire someone with fresh ideas to best distribute funds where they are most needed, at much less cost to the organization. Rather than have someone who may be working hardest to protect their position and suck up resources of a charity cause.
Review for Return To Freedom Inc, Lompoc, CA, USA
Wow, look at how the administrative expenses have jumped from '07 to '09. Neda DeMayo being compensated $57,000 for realizing a life long dream while consuming 6.14% of total expenses is way too much. To realize a life long dream most would sacrifice much. Appears Ned DeMayo started something to bleed the hearts of interested persons and then choose to bleed their wallets once there appeared the opportunity.

reduce administrative expenses. CEO is overcompensated based on amount of revenue
