Meals on Wheels
Review for Meals on Wheels of Chester County Inc., West Chester, PA, USA
I've been volunteering for Meals on Wheels of Chester County in PA for about 9 years. It is incredibly rewarding! All that is required is that you can drive your own car to deliver already prepared hot meals to the homebound. Most of the clients are seniors who either have no family or their family members work. They so appreciate seeing a smiling face, and having a ready-to-eat meal brought to their home. Everyone who volunteers is glad they did. For a minimal commitment (1-2 hours once a week), their help enables people to continue living in their own home when, in many cases, they would have to go to assisted living.

seeing a homebound senior's face light up when I come to the door. Often I hear from the client's family telling me what a tremendous help Meals on Wheels has been for their mom or dad.
