Review for Building Hope in the City, Cleveland, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been a volunteer for Building Hope in the City for many years. I led a Saturday morning kids ministry program with them for four years. I've worked multiple CityServe events (a day long event where 500 people from the suburbs come into the city to do various service projects). I have served on numerous committees, participated in many of their programs, provided financial support and most recently joined their board to provide support in furthering the wonderful things that BHITC is doing in Cleveland & beyond. Building Hope continues to bless so many by its various efforts to truly build HOPE in the city. And I can honestly say that God has blessed me richly from my involvement with Building Hope in the City.

Review for Caribbean Children S Foundation Inc, Jenison, MI, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I first was a volunteer, then also became a donor and most recently also became a board member of Caribbean Children's Foundation. I have personally seen the positive impact Caribbean Children's Foundation (CCF) is making in the lives of children in Haiti. I've seen the smiling, appreciative faces of many Haitian children who are only able to go to school due to CCF tuition grants. I've spent time with children who are being lovingly cared for in Haitian orphanages, due to financial support from CCF. I've seen children live to see a future after life saving surgery enabled by donations through CCF. Caribbean Children's Foundation is making a real difference in children's lives and futures in Haiti.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere. The need in Haiti is incredibly great. I've seen the children of Haiti benefit from the volunteers and donors that embrace and support the mission of Caribbean Children's Foundation. It is a blessing to be involved with an organization that provides children with support and hope towards the future.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would expand CCF so that more children can be helped. The poverty in Haiti is something few in the U.S. can imagine until they experience it firsthand. Children deserve to eat daily, to have basic healthcare so they can live to adulthood, to be safe, to be educated so they might have a better future. Caribbean Children's Foundation helps to support these children in Haiti to give them these basic things that all children deserve.

Role:  Board Member & I've travelled to Haiti on medical mission trips and mission trips to conduct women's seminars (where I taught breastfeeding). I also started an educational sponsorship program in Jacmel, Haiti which has raised money to sponsor the education of Haitian c.
