Review for Adam's Camp, Englewood, CO, USA
This was Zachary's 6th year at Adam's Camp. Zachary is 20 years old and has Down Syndrome and every year he attends, we are amazed at what he accomplished. I couldn't believe my son with vestibular issues did the zip line, all the while being encouraged by peers and volunteers with them singing Happy Birthday to him! What ever it takes for a child to be successful at Adam's Camp, the staff and volunteers are there to make it happen. We love that he is well cared for while his Dad and I run through the mountains and enjoy some "our time". We will continue to support Adam's Camp, truly one of the best non-profit organizations out there!

Review for Adam's Camp, Englewood, CO, USA
Our son had such a great experience, trying new things but needing lots of encouragement which the staff and volunteers gave him. This is his second year with Adam's Camp and both years he has exceeded our expectations of what he would try and accomplish, all due to the loving care and comfort level that is supplied. We will continue to send our 15 year old with Down Syndrome and autism and look forward to his growth and learning.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Seeing the joy of my son's face, embracing his new friends when he left camp and embracing the volunteers and counselors
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
The staff is just fantastic and try to make it as easy as possible for parents and kids alike. I can't think of anything to change.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Seeing his growth in trying new things and making friends, if only for the week.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Uncomparable. All were there to provide loving, fun environment for the campers.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
provide more scholarships for special needs children, young adults and adults who could not afford it, and expand and outreach to more areas that are not as fortunate to have a similar program in their area.
Ways to make it better...
I would love to be able to afford to send our son more than one week a year
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Funding.
One thing I'd also say is that...
We truly love this organization and all that they try to do for their consumers. I would like to donate more but of course raising a special needs child is extremely expensive. Would love to see more income sources to continue their great work!
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About once a year
