Review for In-Sync Exotics, Inc., Wylie, TX, USA
After over a year of volunteering, my belief in In-Sync Exotic's mission is even deeper than when I first walked in, when I was not exactly sure of what I would find. What I found took my breath and my heart away. The commitment and dedication of the staff, board and volunteers is world class. Any animal, no matter what condition they are in when they become a resident, is truly respected as an individual and given top notch treatment. It is sad that there is a need for such sanctuaries, but until the time when this changes, it is my wish that all sanctuaries would be run this well. With more resources, they could help a greater number of big cats in need. My involvement has expanded as my schedule allows and I look forward to the time spent helping this much deserving organization.

Six months of volunteering at In-Sync has deepened my faith in humanity. So many of the Big Cats that reside at the sanctuary started their lives in very dire circumstances, mistreated by their human owners. Some of them suffered years and years of abuse and neglect. But let the dedicated volunteers and staff at In-Sync take over, and the transformations are astounding! My heartfelt wish is that everyone reading this should go visit, and see this special place on earth with their very own eyes. Time after time, a cat that was given up on not only survives but thrives under the care of the amazing folk at In-Sync. It is truly remarkable. I continue to volunteer one day a week, giving what I can of my time and energy for the tasks at hand. I go home tired, but filled to the brim with hope and renewed faith in humankind.

As I looked through the website list of places to volunteer, InSync Exotics appealed to me right away. Somehow I knew that the work would be hard, since even caring for household animals is a big chore. But I also knew that it would be very rewarding, for me, and for the Big Cats. I was right. This sanctuary treats their animals with more respect, dignity and love than I have ever seen. If the world had more hot spots of this kind of love, there would be much less fighting on the earth. I am honored to be a part of the team there.
I started my volunteering when the group started the monumental task of saving 20 large cats whose owner had just died from cancer. Months, years of neglect had left these cats in seemingly unrecoverable misery. But the magic happened. Much sweat and tears, tlc, medicine, and selfless caring later, it is unbelievable to see their transformation. Those cats are now treated with the respect that they deserve. InSync Exotics is one of the top notch rescue facilities in the country. I truly hope and pray that they will continue to thrive, for the sake of the cats, and for the sake of the world.

I am now so much more knowledgeable about the effects of the breeding of big cats in the US for profit. I now firmly believe that no one should be allowed to have a big cat for a pet!
