Review for In-Sync Exotics, Inc., Wylie, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I was immensely impressed with the love and care given to the animals in their care.

They have gone beyond the norm to provide excellent medical care, providing a state of the art hospital, on the grounds, with an exceptional veterinary, always on hand, for any and all emergencies. Along with the every day care needed to keep these animals healthy and happy.

Along with all of this is their ongoing effort to educate young and old to the future of all of these animals. They teach school children about how these animals are becoming endangered, and what we all have to do to protect them and stop abuse, the illegal trade, and ensure the future for all species of wild animals.

They don’t just have the animals for entertainment. Actually, none of these animals are used for entertainment. They’ve all been rescued from terrible conditions, are used to educate people, and to let these animals live out their lives with dignity and the feeling of safety and love.

I can’t say enough about what they’ve done for all the animals in their care now, in the past, and in the future. And, hopefully, taught hundreds of people, about the plight of all of these magnificent animals.

In-Sync is dedicated 100% to the health and well being of all animals in their care. Have visited several times and related to several volunteers. They care as much about the cats mental well being, as they do their health. The enclosures and all housing are made with the individual needs of each animal in mind. They receive top notch medical care, and all volunteers and staff are completely dedicated to the welfare of these lucky cats.

I live in Maryland, but my sister lives in Wylie, Texas and has been a volunteer at In-Sync for many years. Whenever I visit her one of the first things I want to do is visit In-Sync. The place is truly amazing! All of the animals are so well cared for, have such wonderful accomodations and the staff and volunteers work tirelessly to keep those huge cats comfortable and happy. They use enrichment practices that keep the cats busy and make them use their brains. Every single person is so dedicated to the welfare of these cats and it's so evident how much each person cares. Whenever they hear of cats in distress, that need saving, they go all out to get them to In-Sync and start the long road to health and well being. As with all non-profits, money is always as issue, but somehow they manage to pull it together, get those accomodations built, get the vet care these cats need so desperatly, and get them settled into their new homes. They are always thinking of ways to make their lives better and ways to raise funds for the well being of the cats: such as building pools with water falls for the tigers. Building cages with mutltiple levels for climbing for the cats that need to be off the ground. It has grown considerably since I first saw it - I don't have any numbers at hand but I think they now have at least 45-50 cats and the food bills alone are enormous! They truly can use all the help they can get to keep the cats healthy and happy. They've had to turn away a fair number of cats that needed help because they simply don't have the funds to take in all of the animals that are needy. And that upsets all of them because they would like to save them all!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Visiting several times and talking almost every day to my sister, so I could keep up with what they're doing.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Find a way to help them acquire more funding because the work they do is so exceptional and they would like to expand and be able to help more large cats.
