Review for ChildFund International, Richmond, VA, USA
At present, I'm sponsoring my third child with Child Fund International since some time in the 1970s. Several years into sponsoring my first little girl, the school was dropped from the program because it failed to meet the standards of care required by the Child Fund program.
I continue to sponsor children confident now that each school is monitored to be sure they maintain Child Fund standards. Our money
accomplishes what the organization claims to do and is well spent.
Child Fund does what I can't do for the children that need us. The pleasure of following the progress and development of 'my' child, is a gift I give to myself.

Via photographs and letters from my children, I have felt a part of their growth and good health. Knowing that I have a cat, my present boy, FRancisco, sent me a picture of a cat that he drew for me. We share an interest in art which enhances our relationship.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would have liked to know how to provide Francisco with art materials. He is now sixteen and I'd like to encourage his interest in art. Does Child Fund follow up on 'graduates' of the program and if so, could they let the sponsors know what happens to them after they leave school?
