Review for Youthlinc, Salt Lake City, UT, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have recently returned from Cambodia with the 2011 Youthlinc team. This has been my first international service trip and now I cant wait to go on another one. The trip has really opened my eyes to an entirely new type of service and has allowed me to have a different perspective on many many things. Service has always been a part of my life but i know that now it will be an even bigger part of it.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My own life and in my community. All students are required to do 60-100 hours of service in their community before going on the trip. This allows us to serve locally and get involved with something here as a long term volunteer.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Let students go more then once!

Role:  Volunteer & I was on the medical team for our trip so my main job in Cambodia was to teach dental health and anatomy. At the school I helped to build a fence, put in new bathrooms, plant a garden, teach lessons and play with the kids. Away from the school I helped .
