My name is Denise Ulrich, I am a Special Needs Advocate in the Pediatric Clinic at Randolph Air Force Base, TX. I help familes stationed here who have children with special needs become familiar with the community services offered and also get families connected with the community even before they transition into the area from a previous base. I continually send out information that is beneficial to families regarding upcoming classes, seminars, trainings etc. I also hold a support group meeting approximately every other month. I learned of OAR about a year ago when a friend brought me a guide for Military Families who have a child with autism. I found this to be a great tool and just decided to call OAR and ask how I could go about obtaining copies for my families. I like to put together packets of information to give to my families when I meed with them. Mr. Maloney from OAR has been so gracious and said he would be happy to send me as many copies of the book that I needed. He ended up sending me a case of the books free of charge. I have used these books to give to my families, co-workers, teachers, professionals etc that I meet in the community, it is an awesome guide and has been very useful to us. Then recently I went on the website and saw that there were many new book/CD resources now available. I sent an e-mail to the company regarding the new products. Within a week or so I had a huge box full of wonderful resources to pass along to my special needs families. This is excellent material. I cannot say "thank you" enough to the folks at OAR for their generousity in helping our families. I am so excited to get these new materials out to the parents. Thank you OAR for all you have done for us at Randolph Air Force
