My Nonprofit Reviews

Ashley Evans
Review for Nanubhai Education Foundation, Warner Robins, GA, USA
I joined Nanubhai as a volunteer in 2007 and have worked in a number of different capacities, including event-planning, grant applications, fund-raising, and communications. I came onboard because I was deeply inspired by the organization's mission to help kids in rural Indian communities and by the enthusiasm and dedication of the other volunteers I spoke with. What makes Nanubhai especially compelling is that it works at the grassroots level, within existing public schools, and that it targets very specific educational initiatives relevant to India's growing role in the world economy: IT skills, English language, and girls' empowerment. Since I first connected with Nanubhai, I have been rewarded over and over again by seeing the results of our efforts in the improved school facilities and learning opportunities for the kids. I've also been impressed by the talent and passion of all the volunteers and fellows I've had the opportunity to work with. This is an organization I am proud to be part of and would recommend to anyone.
