I first became aware of Jeffrey's Voice in October of 2010. Because I have worked in advertising & media, I know it is not cheap to advertise. Therefore, I've always been a bit leery of any non-profit organization that does a lot of advertising. I recognized right away that Jeffrey's Voice was different. I saw Jeffrey's Voice had one true mission and that was to help fund research that would lead to a cure for Leukemia and Blood Cancers. I personally have no experience with Leukemia and I pray I never will, but there was something about this organization that spoke to me, almost literally. It was as if it were calling on me. I had never met Nancy Horne, the founder and president of Jeffrey's Voice, and I still haven't. Yet, I feel I've known her all my life. In December of 2012, I asked Nancy if I could help in any way. I wasn't sure what I could do since she lives in Florida and I live in Tennessee, but she put me right to work. It is very rewarding to know that I am helping to bring awareness to such a horrific disease. Leukemia is one of the deadliest cancers, yet, so many people are still unaware and under educated of its danger and existence. Jeffrey's Voice is helping to change that. Oh, by the way, we only use free forms of advertising and all of our volunteers are exactly that... PROUD VOLUNTEERS!! Every penny donated to Jeffrey's Voice goes directly toward research for a cure.
