I ran in the Boston Marathon in 2008, as a member of Team Continuum.
It was my 4th marathon but the first one where I raised money for a cause; and it turned out to be my most memorable race. The opportunity to play a very small role in hopefully helping someone effected by cancer was very gratifying. And, knowing what a great organization that Team Continuum is, added to the experience. They were very supportive through the entire process and as you progressed though it, you felt like you were really part of team. The marathon is typically a very independant activity but having the responsibility to raise money, helped include others, and as a result, you were running for something bigger than yourself. Simply, a great experience.
