Review for Habitat for Hope, Millington, TN, USA
I started volunteering with Habitat for Hope 3 years ago. I was drawn to the ministry for several reasons: 1. My husband was a former leukemia patient in and out of the hospital and I wanted to serve others who had frequent hospital stays. 2. I found it was an opportunity to meet people from all different races, cultures, economic status, religious backgrounds, and hometowns. 3. I appreciated that the ministry aimed at meeting the practical, spiritual, and emotional needs of families with critically and chronically ill children.
After volunteering for a year, I left my job to come on staff! That is how much I believe in the work of Habitat for Hope!
