Review for Habitat for Hope, Millington, TN, USA
I started out as a registered nurse with patient families supported by this nonprofit. I fell in love with the organization and eventually became a full time volunteer. They try to meet all needs of a family, usually starting with housing and meals for families of children with life threatening or chronic illnesses. Most recently, I have experienced bedrest while pregnant with my second child. My husband is a full time staff member with Habitat for Hope(HFH). We have experienced them going out of their way to work with my husband and I to make sure my family and I are well tended to, and facilitate my husband to continue working when possible/practical. They are also finding ways for me to continue feeling useful while on bedrest, which makes each day a little easier.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I have experienced the results by seeing hurting families come out of a horrific experience their children with an ability to function and thrive. I have seen familes once served become volunteers and able to bring hope to others that are in the midst of the pain. I have seen families stay together when once threatened with seperation. I have seen rare smiles on somenchildren's faces when experiencing something as simple as a horse ride set up by Habitat for Hope staff.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would expand the campuses to other locations in other areas. Although this organization serves families in other cities already, this is something that could be useful in many other cities with large hospitals. It is incredible how such a small staff is able to help so many!
