In 2006 Habitat for Hope was our saving Grace during our son's battle with Leukemia and bone marrow transplant! We had just moved to the Memphis area and five days later our son was diagnosed with cancer.... We thought we had no one. We were so wrong! They were there for us from day 2 and on!! Praying for us and with us, bringing us dinner, playing games with our kids, sitting with our son so we could just have a break and opening The Habitat for Hope Ranch to us to come and just "get a way" from so much!! But the biggest blessing is that they brought us to God gently, caringly and gracefully!! Our relationship with Him has flourished so much and I could not imagine out lives without Him!!
5 years later, our son is still cancer free!! We are now on the other side, volunteering, taking meals and just praying for so many hurting families that are exactly where we used to be!! Habitat for Hope is an amazing place where you can come broken, hopeless, tired.... They open their arms and hearts without judgment, with lots of love, compassion and hope!! Our lives are forever changes because of them!!
