My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for A Touch of Understanding Inc, Granite Bay, CA, USA
I have seen ATOU's presentations several times. I was amazed at the response of the children to the opportunities they had to experience things from the perspective of the disabled person. They seem so thankful to be able to talk openly to people with disabilities and hear honestly from them about their challenges & also their sameness with the general public. It is also a thrilling experience to hear the life stories of the volunteers & know that there is so much hope. My own son had an accident & brain injury recently. I know who I can talk to for support & understanding & much hope for recovery.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
nieces & nephews who saw the program presented to them in elementary school. They never forget the power of the presenters.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
pray that it could continue on and on and on.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the love and compassion shared by all the volunteers in the group & what a huge family they are.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
so loving & caring for each other & for those that they shared their experiences with.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
get the vehicles needed to transport their equipment & probably take more volunteers with them to programs.
Ways to make it better...
it had lasted longer.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
not enough money to keep expanding and presenting the program do to rising fuel costs.
